Toyota Prius 2010 - the third generation of hybrid car

Toyota confirms today that the company's hybrid Prius has problems with its anti-lock brakes. According to Toyota there are problems in the cars of the 2010 model year sold before the end of January.

The latest announcement is another blow to the Japanese automaker, which recently forced to recall millions of vehicles since it appeared that accelerators jammed.

Problems with Prius became public last Wednesday, after the Japanese authorities insisted that the company would investigate the alleged problems with the brakes on the 2010 model year hybrid car.

In Japan, there have been several accidents due to cars with poor braking performance.

Although U.S. authorities have received complaints from American Prius owners who felt very weak or completely lost braking performance of their cars, writes the New York Times.

Problems pile up for Toyota
The past months have been kind of adversity in kind for the world's largest automaker.

Already last fall throttle got stuck in the carpet in some of the models.

Then came reports of a gas pedal for the driver could not stop.
