| GM says Volt model performance is unprecedented |

 The Chevrolet Volt electric vehicle that General Motors Co has to improve its image among consumers is on track to reach a rate unprecedented fuel economy of nearly 98 miles per gallon city, said Tuesday the company.
The chief executive of GM, Fritz Henderson, said the Volt could get a
fuel economy rating of "three digits" for use in highway and city,
according to a draft developed by the Environmental Protection Agency
United States.
