Russian Coast Guard is considering building ground effect craft, ekranoplan, as surveillance craft along the Russian border.
Ground Effect Craft of various types were used by the former Soviet
armed forces to quickly move equipment and troops across the Caspian
Sea, Black Sea and along the rivers.
Spacecraft flies just above the ground thanks to a cushion of air formed between the wings and the ground.
