Saab Automobile's bankruptcy trustee Hans Bergqvist and Anne-Marie Pouteaux are impressed by what they saw of Saab's future and they understand why Victor Muller involved so heavily in Saab.
We are very aware of the upcoming model program and seen the new 9-3
model and the new technology and we certainly understand now in a
completely different way why Victor Muller is so committed and continues
to find a solution. What we have seen has really taken hold of us,
says Anne.
Marie Poutreaux in an exclusive interview with tidningenTTEla in Trollhattan. The image of Saab's former owner and CEO Victor Muller, who they previously received from the media, have changed after they have met him. I have full respect for him. He has been helpful for he wanted to really make this work, says Hans Bergqvist. The trustee says to TTELA that the main focus now is to try to find a party that is interested in Saab as a whole. They confirm that they had contact with both Swedish and foreign interests since the bankruptcy proceedings began on 19 December. We work for the business to be taken over by a stakeholder to be able to launch the existing models. But it has built up the structure and partnerships that affect the conditions of success with it, says Hans Bergqvist. When asked why Lars Carlstrom, representing an Indian automotive company, not allowed to see the receivers, he answers. We evaluate different alternatives among the stakeholders that reaction from them, under great pressure. We reserve the right to prioritize among those who contact us. It's about how serious the characters seem to make contact and how practical the suggestions are from the stakeholders that they represent, said Hans Bergqvist to TTELA. Bankruptcy trustees themselves have not said the stakeholders with whom they met, but the media have reported on four pieces - two Chinese, one Turkish and one Indian. The first Chinese car builder Youngman had advanced stage of negotiations to join the owner of Saab Automobile in bankruptcy. Youngman has deposited the equivalent of half a billion crowns in the company, money that is gone if you do not manage to go ahead with a takeover. Young's CEO Rachel Pang was in Trollhattan in the day and met with senior management and bankruptcy trustees. 2nd Just before Christmas there were signs that a Turkish investment company heard of him. Turkey has no own passenger car production and with Saab Automobile for sale would that problem be solved easily. Third of India's largest SUV manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra have hired the Russian Saab financier Vladimir Antonov former spokesman Lars Carlstrom as the representative of Sweden. But it seems that Mahindra & Mahindra chosen the wrong representative since Vladimir Antonov is persona non grata in Saab Context right now and that it is Lars Carlstrom in the dish to have represented Antonov in Sweden. 4th Chinese Dongfeng, China's third largest car builder who does not have its own brand without building cars for Nissan, Kia, Citroen, Peugeot and Honda for the Chinese market. |
