300 km / h in 40 degrees Celsius Print E-mail

At the wind tunnel railway RTA in Vienna trains tested in wind speeds equivalent to train speeds of 300 km / h and temperatures down to minus 40 degrees.

Features and security, insulation and lubricants tested in the tunnel.
 
The train is built at the German Siemens plant in Krefeld-Uerdingen. It is a variant of the ICE 3 trains that Siemens has delivered to the railway companies elsewhere in the world.
 
At the end of 2009 the trains put into service on the route Moscow - St. Petersburg.
