The first Russian plane belonging to the fifth-generation fighter has implemented its premiere flight.
On Friday morning sat test pilot Sergey Bogdan from Sukhoifabriken at the controls of the aircraft PAK FA and took off from its trial airport in Komsomolsk on Amur.
Prime tour lasted 47 minutes and the landing was shown on Russian
television. According to the company all went according to plan. The
pilot testified that after landing the plane is lattfluget.
Characteristics of the fifth generation aircraft is that they will have
little result image on the radar (stealth characteristics) and that the
pilot may be very helpful with the operation of electronic systems.
Data communication between aircraft and air traffic control is
extensive.
Sukhoi has for many years have experimented with a test aircraft,
Su-47, as viewed by the Russian test bed for the forthcoming
fifth-generation fighter aircraft. Development work is supported by
India, which has joined in with a 25-percent support in the project.
Previously, there are only two aircraft which are classified as
fifth-generation aircraft, U.S. F-22 and F-35, also known as the Joint
Strike Fighter.
