Launch of NASA carbon applicants ôçò satellite failed. Tis, orbiting Carbon Observatory, yesterday would have had its place in orbit around the Earth. The satellite would be there, together with the Japanese probe Ibuki, have performed careful measurements on the earth's carbon dioxide levels. But something went wrong during the launch process, and tis never reached space. Instead ended measurement of the sea off Antarctica. According to Nasa crash was due to the rocket that would take the probe protected by the atmosphere never opened - and the whole package crashed back to Earth.Ibuki was postponed on 23 th January, and reported to still be in good condition. In a few months, all calibration and instrument control to be performed, so that the probe can begin mapping Earth's carbon dioxide. |
