 UPDATED Defense Materiel Administration has decided for the American Black Hawk helicopter. This means that the French charm offensive with Super Cougar came to naught. Already last summer, word spread that the Defense Materiel Administration FMV was considering buying 15 pieces of Black Hawk from U.S. Sirkorsky Aircraft Black Hawk is one of the world's best-selling military helicopters used by the Ameer and air forces in more than 15 countries worldwide. The cost must not exceed 4.7 billion, including maintenance and operation by 2020, and the training of pilots and technicians. Mr Tolgfors says he himself never identified Blackhawk and always checked to procurement responsibility lies with the FMV on order from the Armed Forces. |
