Fraunhofer researchers are developing flight control system for robot swarm
![]() This flight will be a robot swarm occur
Scientists at the Fraunhofer Institute for Information and Data have a tax system for a swarm of unmanned flying objects developed. The flying robot to autonomously operate in disaster areas and using the software system coordinate their actions.
After an earthquake or a flood, the rescue workers rely on, as quickly as possible to get information about where people need their help. This is especially true for endangered cave-houses, where the rescuers themselves would be in jeopardy. Is it according to the scientists at the Fraunhofer Institute for Information and Data Processing (IITB) in Karlsruhe, are small, autonomously operating helicopters this dangerous work.
When the unmanned flying objects (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, UAV), it is about one meter tall four-helicopter called Quadrocopter to be nimble enough that they also can maneuver of collapsed buildings. They are equipped with a series of sensors to collect data. These include infrared and regular cameras, various gauges and sensors that detect pollutants. In order to be efficient as possible, the same as Quadrocopter swarm occur. The researchers at the Fraunhofer IITB have a tax software for the UAV swarm developed. |
