The Nissan is developing a robotic system to avoid bumps and collisions in their car that was inspired by a bee! The BR23C is a "car" robotic (if I may call it so) that biomimetic processes the information instantaneously, and the bees, which do not stop to think about the situation, but to react instinctively, responding to obstacles in much higher than humans.

BR23C The laser is equipped with sensors that detect obstacles up to 2 meters away, in a radius of 180 degrees. Thus, to find something in your way, it just diverts to avoid collision.

Nissan's goal is to reduce by half the number of accidents in its vehicles by 2015, compared with the number of accidents recorded in 1995.
