The European Commission today unveiled a plan (Transportation 2050) for shipments within the Union should be done in a way that reduces the environmental impact and reduces dependence on oil by 60 percent by 2050.

A quick summoned press conference on Tuesday announced the car manufacturer Volvo in Gothenburg that it plans employ a thousand people at the factory in Gothenburg.

Scania is now showing off their first truck engines that meet emission limits Euro 6. This means that particulate emissions are reduced by almost 85 percent compared to Euro 5, and emissions of nitrogen oxides are reduced by 80 percent. Fuel consumption remains unchanged.

Ericsson Helicopter has landed in Japan Print E-mail

Today, landing a helicopter with Ericsson staff and equipment needed to repair the excluded mobile networks in northern Japan.

Much of the mobile infrastructures in the Tohoku region in northern Japan were destroyed in the disaster for nearly three weeks ago.

Exactly how much of the mobile networks have been knocked out is still not known.
