Via the mobile internet be the maps that are needed continuously into the cell phone. In addition to the map view you can also use Google's satellite images and even street view where it is available. Like rival dedicated GPS navigators also use the Google voice directions in addition to the maps. There are also traffic information available with the current accessibility of the major roads shown. It is also used automatically when the app calculates and suggests quickest or shortest route to the destination. Through various so-called "stock" can maps show the location of such restaurants, filling stations and parking lots along the road. Since the map data is downloaded to the phone via the Internet requires an active internet connection. But the service does not die completely if the phone loses power connector. Maps of the areas located near the current location is stored successively in the mobile and can be displayed even when the phone temporarily loses contact with the Internet. Google plans to launch its navigation tools for other mobile platforms than Android. But when they show up, that company did not disclose. |
