Authorities in the U.S. have started using Google Earth to look for the black building. In a small town found 250 pools that lacked permits. The owners were contacted and then got to choose between obtaining a permit or face heavy fines. Most opted out fine and has instead paid a total of about 500 000 crowns for his permission. The city’s building inspector Leroy Barnes defends the hunt for black builders with security arguments. - Without the necessary inspections we do not know about plumbing, electrical installations and fencing complies with the state and local rules, "says Leroy Barnes. But the search for black construction has been criticized. - Google Earth was launched as a tool for curious travelers. But now it is used by monetary authorities hungry. "Said Lillie Coney, who is assistant director of the Electronic Privacy Information Center in Washington… A representative of Google said that she did not know if other authorities have used Google Earth in a similar manner as in Riverhead. But she would not answer the question if Google had no qualms about how the city uses the service. |
