Free Mobile network will be controlled by ARCEP
The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (ARCEP) announced Friday it would carry out checks Free Mobile network, which is at the heart of a controversy since the launch of new mobile operator.

Constable of telecommunications has already carried out an inspection of the operator's network last month, which showed that he respected its obligations to population coverage, paving the way for commercial launch.

Since its inception on January 10, the latest mobile operator, however, the target of charges for the operation of its network, a subsidiary of Iliad is particularly suspected to disable some of its branches to rest on the network of Orange, with whom he concluded a roaming agreement.

Citing "the interests of transparency and serenity," says he asked ARCEP to Free "to update the information on the status of its network, including in particular a list of installed sites, sites effectively activated and cause which might have led, where appropriate, to the extinction of some of its network stations. "

"Taking into account the evidence provided, ARCEP will launch a field verification, using the same method as that used for previous checks," said the authority in a statement.  The results of these audits will be made public.

ARCEP said it had received a single request for investigation from trade unions CFE-CGC and UNSA of mobile operators, but has not received any formal complaint from a competitor's of Free Mobile.

"Nothing concrete has been brought to the attention of the Authority in support of the allegations in the media and taken up by letters to the unions," said the institution.

Wednesday, the founder of Iliad Xavier Niel had swept the accusations concerning the functioning of Free Mobile network by ensuring that the mobile operator's compliance with its obligations population coverage.
