| Big changes await Hewlett-Packard |

Hewlett-Packard confirms reports that the company plans to evaluate various options, including a separation, for the PC business.
It appears from a press release, which the company also provided
preliminary figures for the third quarter of the split fiscal year.
Hewlett-Packard has also decided to end their activities in the flat
panel touch screen computers, known as surf boards and smart phones.
The company expects to take restructuring charges totaling $ 1 billion
for the planned changes. Restructuring will take several quarters to
implement.
Hewlett-Packard posted an adjusted profit per share at 1:10 of dollars
for the third quarter of the split financial year 2010/2011 (0.98).
Analysts' expectations were a result of 1:09 dollars per share, according to Bloomberg News forecast average.
Revenues were $ 31.2 billion (30.7). This was expected revenue of $ 31.1 billion.
Hewlett Packard cuts its full-year forecast for profit to a range of
4:82-4:86 dollars per share. Previous forecast of at least 5:00 solder
dollars per share for fiscal year 2010/2011.
Although sales forecast for the full year is reduced, to 127.2 to 127.6
billion dollars from the earlier 129-130 billion dollars.
Fourth, the current, quarter track Hewlett Packard, adjusted earnings
per share in the range of 1:12 to 1:16 dollars, and revenues of 32.1 to
32.5 billion dollars.
Analysts had expected earnings per share at 1:31 of dollars and revenues
of $ 34 billion, according to Bloomberg estimates compilation.
