International Atomic Energy Agency is being reviewed for the first time stralsakerhetsarbetet in Sweden. That there are certain shortcomings have already been identified.
Yesterday, Monday arrived 26 foreign experts stralsakerhetsarbete to Solna, and Radiation Safety, SSM, which is housed in a large modern office complex.

They are now under two weeks ahead evaluate how Sweden is following IAEA rules and requirements for radiation safety. In particular, they participate in inspections in the field, to include nuclear power plants and in health care.

Radiation Safety Authority has been preparing for a whole year and the actual compared to Swedish rules and the Swedish stralsakerhetsarbetet in relation to the IAEA P. In most cases, one IAEA standards, but it has also discovered shortcomings in various areas.
For example:

* SSM complies only in part the international rules in terms of security of radioactive sources.
* It does not really standards when it comes to performing probabilistic safety.
* It is also poor in the work to calculate radiation doses for personnel at nuclear facilities.
* The rules for how spent fuel is handled should be reviewed.
* SSM also need to ensure that we have competent staff to come.
 
For example, regarded the crisis organization vulnerable in certain areas, where only a few people sitting inside with the key skills.
 
The examination which started today concern from the government's work, for emergency preparedness and nuclear security. It was commissioned by the government, with Environment Minister Andreas Carlgren, c, at the head two years ago and is the first IRRS-assessment made so far in Sweden. All nuclear countries in Europe to undergo this every ten years.  IRRS stands for Integrated Regulatory Review Service.
