Premiere of electricity Opel in Frankfurt

Opel version of Volt electric hybrid unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. This is called car amps.

Opel Ampere operated continuously with electric motors, and the first 60 kilograms yards retrieved stream from a 16-kWh lithium-ion battery. Then start a combustion engine driving a generator which charges the battery.

With the combination becomes Ampere range over 500 km on one charge and refueling. The battery can be charged with electricity.

Between 17th to 27th September, displayed the car at the Frankfurt Motor Show. 2011 is supposed to be put into production. It should then also be offered in right hand drive version for the UK market, but when the Vauxhall brand.
