![]() Organic light emitting diodes in the roof provide daylight as well as OLED lights Sunlight during the day and OLED lighting at night. Giants Philips and BASF want to see OLED panels in the roof.
When OLED panels are off, they are almost transparent, and passengers
can look at the sky and enjoy the daylight. If you need lighting in the
cabin so candles are non-conductive panels and have a pleasant diffused
light.
Philips and BASF argues in a joint press release that the new lighting technology is now ripe for integration into car roofs. BASF has previously shown up on the idea of a concept car from Daimler. OLED interpret organic light-emitting diode and consists of two thin films that act as electrodes. In between there are one or more thin layers of organic materials that emit light when stimulated by a stream? Hopes are high for the new energy-efficient light source that can provide new spectacular design solutions. One problem with technology is that it is still expensive to manufacture. The duo Philips and BASF, which has cooperated in OLEDs since 2006, are now aiming to combine panels with transparent solar cells. |
