France wants to increase pressure on Iran that is now beginning to move their uranriknings program to a "well-guarded facility," reports the BBC.
France is convinced that Iran is producing nuclear weapons and now wants to increase sanctions against the country.
Today urges Foreign Minister Alain Jupp on other EU Member States to the United States (refers to) and freeze the Iranian Central Bank's assets and impose an embargo on the country's oil exports.
Something that also French President Nicolas Sarkozy has previously advocated.
Nuclear weapons expert Mark Fitzpatrick at the International Institute
for Security Studies (IISS) said today that Iran is about to move its
uranium enrichment program to a "well-guarded facility."
If Iran were to move a considerable amount, this may mean that we have reached "a point of no return", he tells British radio.
On New Year's Eve approved U.S. President Barack Obama, one of the aforementioned sanctions against Iran. These will only take effect in six months if Iran chooses to go the U.S. to meet.
The effects of the president's signature has already made an impression
