Gas bubble may have caused oil explosion Print E-mail

On Wednesday night last week blew up BP's oil-drilling platform Transocean Deepwater Horizon in the Gulf of Mexico.

A leaking gas bubbles from the oil reservoir is 5000 feet down into the borehole from the sea surface calculated, may have caused the severe explosion at the oil rig Deepwater Horizon in the Gulf of Mexico.

I do not want to speculate on exactly what happened but it is a likely scenario, says the Norwegian drilling expert, Jan Krokeide, leading Drilling Manager's Forum on OLF, oil industry's Country Club in Stavanger and has many years of experience to find oil offshore.

Next summer, we put out a Deep Green in 1:10 scale for testing off the coast of Northern Ireland and at the end of 2012 we hope to establish a pilot park in one place and deliver tidvattenel to the country in collaboration with a client, an energy company.

A team from the Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry (CRIEPI), in collaboration with the Organization for the Development of New Energy and Industrial Technology (NEDO), has developed a new method for making the “oil raw green "from microscopic algae. The use of dimethyl ether (DME) in the process of extracting oils allows substantial energy savings compared to a conventional method. The resulting oil has a calorific value of 10,950 cal / g (45 792.9 J / g - of the order of calorific value of petrol and diesel).
