A new master degree in medicine and technology starting next year at Lund University, It became clear today.

The program was developed in collaboration with the medical industry.
Compared to similar courses at KTH and Linkoping University, the program has a large element of biology and medicine. It is unique in Sweden, writes LTH in a statement. - The industry is increasingly demanding engineers who also understand how the human body works. Today the Council is a shortage of people with interdisciplinary understanding. Specialists, however, it is almost always to get hold of.

Set ‘says Leif Sornemo, professor of medical signal processing at Lund University and one of the initiators of the program.

It's about educating engineers who can drive the development of new techniques for diagnosis, therapy and rehabilitation.
