Which house is the tennis king JO Waldner's favorite? One hot contender is probably a future hotel in China. A 150 meter high building, shaped like a tennis racket. The hotel will be built in eastern China, in Huainan. The hotel is supposed to be part of a larger sports park with several spectacular halls. Or how about a stage, shaped like a football and three gymnasiums whose facades are meant to resemble a football, a basketball and volleyball? In total there are more than 67 acres to be occupied by the planned sports cluster. But quality costs money there. Only the hotel is expected to cost nearly 300 million to construct. A residual table tennis racket is an ideal architectural form for a hotel, "said Jin Chang, director of Huainan Municipal Bureau of Sports, which is behind the project, told the newspaper. |
