| Saab may build 100 electric cars and Sweden can get a new battery factory |

 Saab 9-3 with Electro Engines Electric True-concept, which also is used in the new program ZE Saab 9-3. Saab in Trollhattan will quickly produce a test fleet of over 100 electric cars with electric car company Electro Engineering in Uppsala and battery company Boston Power. This might eventually become a new battery factory in Sweden. Today, it was clear that the electric car project ZE Saab 9-3 in Trollhattan receive 86.7 million crowns in aid of the Swedish state. If everything goes the way it can lead to the Boston Power starts a new battery factory in Sweden. Such a development has already been discussed, confirming Anders Lewald, electric car expert at Energy Agency. - The project is a continuation of Blix project in Trollhättan. The difference is that now gets bigger, with more cars and another supplier of batteries, "says Anders Lewald to new technology on Thursday afternoon. The government has pulled out with extra money for this project which is called the ZE Saab 9-3.  Boston Power battery cells are optimized for electric cars. The project which cost is estimated at 200 million kronor, the 86.7 million crowns in aid of which 60 million is money that Enterprise and Energy Maud Olofsson has taken from its budget, leaving the rest of the Energy Authority's own budget. - The money will be used to test the new battery technology, command and control technology, electric motors and to verify that the equipment can be used in cars, "says Anders Lewald. Olofsson already revealed last Tuesday at a press conference at Saab Automobile in Trollhattan to ZE Saab 9-3 project will get their money. Read the news story here.
