We are totally dependent on the electricity always works, especially on cold winter days. To ensure the electrical system and to take advantage of even small-scale electricity production required to Sweden, smarter grid and those we can read of our consumption in real time view Frigyes Reisch and Lars Persson.
In order to integrate all production sources in the best manner and to
secure supplies of power to consumers requires new electrical system,
called Smart Grid. If these are built in Sweden, we can at once be both
producers and consumers of electricity. A household with such a small
wind turbine would be able to supply their excess electricity to the
common network.
Major investments in recent years paid for by us consumers, and give
power companies huge profits. These include the wiring to replace
overhead lines, transformers which are reinforced and that the Baltic
countries are pooling their electrical systems with submarine cables.
Sweden has an overly ambitious program of our 10 nuclear power reactors.
The goal is to increase the efficacy of several tens percent, while
other nuclear countries are content with only a few percent. It is a
result of the Barseback reactors was shut down prematurely and that they
refused to build new nuclear plants.
In Finland it has been shown that it takes longer and more expensive to
build new nuclear power than planned. Finnish Olkiluoto 3 has cost twice
as much as planned and also the construction period is doubled.
Wind power is about 25 percent efficient and do not provide a sufficient
supply of energy. Although Germany has an excellent program for
renewable energy extends to nuclear plant life and built the world's
largest coal-fired plants for electricity in Hamburg on the Elbe.
Moreover importing the fossil from Russia by pipeline under the Baltic
Sea,
In Sweden, a renaissance has occurred and you start dealing with reality
in the field. It is now concentrating on maintenance and to extend the
life of existing plants.
Now it is time that we consumers get free information about our own use
over the Web. Then we can start our electrical appliances when the
tariff is low. We have lower energy bills while saving our environment
by smoothing out the peaks in electricity consumption.
Smart Grids must be implemented to optimize power consumption. Then even
small-scale electricity producers to make a useful contribution to
secure electricity balance.
